Lake Hartwell

Lake Seminole

Located in Beautiful southern Georgia, Lake Seminole, is a recreational lake blessed with natural beauty. A visit to Lake Seminole provides a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities -- it is a great place to fish, camp, boat, picnic or sightsee. Lake Seminole borders both Georgia and Florida and has 37,500 acres of water and over 18,000 acres of surrounding land. Extending up the Chattahoochee River 30 miles and up the Flint River 35 miles, Lake Seminole has 376 miles of shoreline.

Demopolis Lake

Located near Demopolis, AL, at the confluence of the Black Warrior and Tombigbee River, Demopolis Lake is the largest lake in the Black Warrior-Tombigbee system. The lake extends 48 miles upriver on the Black Warrior and 53 miles up the Tombigbee and covers 10,000 acres. The holiday season begins each year with a week of special activities called "Christmas on the River." This annual Demopolis tradition is climaxed by a night time parade on the river which is viewed by huge crowds from the white bluff above the Tombigbee River.

Carters Lake

Ridgeway is located off GA Hwy 282/76 approximately 8 miles west of Ellijay, GA. To get there turn off 282/76 at the Ridgeway entrance sign and follow the access road into the park. The Ridgeway mountain bike trail system is located in Ridgeway Park at Carters Lake. Riders pass through mountain vegetation along high ridges that overlook deep clear water, then descend to cross small creeks. The main trail is a loop approximately 6 miles long. Several other short trails exist within the park that allow for longer rides.
